Les fictions embl\u00e9matiques de la modernit\u00e9 litt\u00e9raire d\u00e9truisent ce qui faisait depuis Aristote le principe m\u00eame de la fiction : l\u2019encha\u00eenement des actions selon la n\u00e9cessit\u00e9 ou la vraisemblance. Or cette rationalit\u00e9 causale qui s\u2019opposait \u00e0 la simple succession des choses exprimait elle-m\u00eame l\u2019excellence de la forme de vie d\u2019une cat\u00e9gorie privil\u00e9gi\u00e9e d\u2019humains. En r\u00e9cusant cette structure de rationalit\u00e9, la fiction nouvelle t\u00e9moignait d\u2019un bouleversement qui mettait \u00e0 bas la hi\u00e9rarchie des formes de vie. Mais elle r\u00e9cusait aussi un mod\u00e8le de l\u2019action et une image de la pens\u00e9e. \u00c0 travers Flaubert, Conrad, Virginia Woolf, Keats, Baudelaire et B\u00fcchner, ce livre \u00e9tudie les formes et paradoxes de cette r\u00e9volution de l\u2019\u00e9criture qui est aussi une r\u00e9volution dans la pens\u00e9e et remet en cause certaines interpr\u00e9tations de la modernit\u00e9 litt\u00e9raire, comme la r\u00e9ification lukacsienne, l\u2019effet de r\u00e9el de Barthes ou l\u2019analyse benjaminienne du \u00ab po\u00e8te lyrique \u00e0 l\u2019apog\u00e9e du capitalisme \u00bb.<\/p>\n<p>Interview de J.
