La premi\u00e8re section \u2014\u00a0\u2018<em>Crossing into Otherness<\/em>\u2019\u00a0\u2014 prend pour sujet la po\u00e9tique de la travers\u00e9e dans la litt\u00e9rature anglaise contemporaine, pour y analyser comment l\u2019exp\u00e9rience de la travers\u00e9e physique est aussi une exp\u00e9rience \u00e9thique de l\u2019alt\u00e9ration. La seconde section \u2018<em>Outlanding Woolf<\/em>\u2019 poursuit et infl\u00e9chit ce th\u00e8me en se tournant vers la mani\u00e8re dont Woolf invente une po\u00e9tique de l\u2019ailleurs et est en retour d\u00e9plac\u00e9e et transform\u00e9e par l\u2019acte de r\u00e9ception.<\/p>\n<p>This issue of <em>\u00c9tudes britanniques contemporaines<\/em> is exceptionally divided into two sections that are both distinct and connected. The first section\u2014\u201cCrossing into Otherness\u2019\u2014turns to the poetics of crossing in contemporary English literature, in order to understand how the physical experience of \u2018crossing into\u2019 entails an ethical experience of alteration.
